Micah is ready for his first trip to the snow (well we are hoping there is snow.)
And this outfit seems to make him a little more stable on his feet. I don’t think he can bend.
Doesn’t he look like such a little man?
Seven years ago…
life got better.
(Rebekah 4 weeks)
(Rebekah 4 months)
It must get old hearing me say “time flies” or me proclaiming how stunned I am about the speed at which my kids are growing… but truly I feel like life is full of “how did I get here?” moments. And today was definitely one of those. As I sat at our special luncheon to celebrate Rebekah’s birthday. I had many a flashback to that sweet little bundle of squishiness, our first born baby that catapulted me into this amazing journey called motherhood. Seven? Really seven?
Early morning… our family tradition continues to go strong. Doughnuts and gifts in bed!
Rebekah was, over the top, giddy with excitement for today. I’m talking THE MOST EXCITED I HAVE EVER SEEN HER.
So excited for her friends. So excited for everything.
She was in heaven.
I am blessed that Rebekah’s dearest friends also have incredible mommies who are two of MY dearest friends!
The face of a girl who couldn’t stop smiling.
Anna did such a great job. Keeping up with the big girls today. She was so eager to be a part of everything.
She was also very intent on collecting all the “free” daisies… she wanted cousin Annika to take them home to her mommy.
The birthday girl.
And the guy that made it all happen! Seriously he was super dad today (and everyday). Taking pictures, and enduring all the girliness to be a part of his little lady’s special day.
And this is what “crashing” looks like. She was too tired to think straight.
Happy Birthday Rebekah Kate our beautiful 7 year old.
My parents house is kind of base camp for our family, it seems. Many an occasion has been celebrated there.
And tonight… Rebekah’s birthday was the reason for family gathering!
The “BIG” gift of the year…
an American Girl Doll. (“Rebecca” ,of course.)
Our doll was THRILLED!
Then we played a game. Any person who has been to a bridal shower has played the “toilet paper bride” game, well we made “streamer princesses” instead. Each team has 3 pink streamer rolls, lots of dress up jewelry and exactly 7 minutes.
This is what Micah thought of the streamers…
Then there was… cake…
… and Anna… in streamers.
Birthdays + family = fun!
