Have I mentioned Micah isn’t a huge fan of “family picture” time…
The majority of pictures I have of this little person are of his backside…
This rope has been hanging from this tree in my parents back yard since my brother and grandfather built a tree house back there when my brother was little. The tree house isn’t there any more. My brother is almost 25! So that tells you, it’s been there for a while. I was pretty impressed with Bekah’s climbing skills. I was never able to do this! It takes some major upper body strength!
My mom set up two saw horses with sheets over and under to make a spot of shade for Leah. She sat there and watched all that was going on around her. Just being her usual content little self. The white sheets and beautiful day made for some GREAT pictures. This is the best age to get photos. They just sit and smile. I will have to do a whole other post on the pictures of Leah. Cause I ,of course, took a ton. What can I say? I’m trigger happy. Once I start clicking I can’t stop.
Home-made ice cream courtesy of my aunt.
My sister is such a great aunt to my kids. She is going to be such a good mom.
The girls picking wild blackberries off my parents hillside. My mom actually used blackberries from her yard to make blackberry cobbler. Things just taste better when you know you grew the ingredients yourself…. or at least someone you know grew them… themselves. You get what I mean.
But blackberry bushes have little stickers…. and they get stuck in little girls feet when they don’t have shoes on.
Bekah stayed up in the tree for quite some time.
Anna wanted to join.
But then changed her mind. She has a cold this week and I think a few of the tears we saw on Monday were foretelling of her “not-feeling-so-good” to come.
But Grandpa came to the rescue.
“My, but a peaceful nap, some swimming and home-made ice cream sure do make for a great day! “
Watching his sisters up in a tree.
Then it was time for S’mores.
I can honestly say that I don’t think I have ever seen anyone enjoy a s’more as much as Micah was enjoying his….
