a shower for my sister…

This past Saturday my mom, aunt and I threw a shower for my sister who is very soon to have a BABY BOY! 36 weeks and counting!

Our theme was vintage toys and really the only thing I purchased as far as décor was felt for bunting and balloons… the rest of the decorations were pretty much everything I have decorating Micah’s room and a lot of stuff my mom has. Turned out pretty darn cute… (if I do say so myself.Winking smile)

These cookies were an idea in my head but only became reality with the help and genius of my very talented friend Aly. She came over one night and gave me instructions to follow. I obeyed. She did all the detail work. I majored on cutting wagon boxes and putting wheels on.  They would have not been oh-so-cute without her. So thanks, Aly!

I had so much fun using my pretty large collection of fun old books!

The food set up…. Loved using my mom’s fun old (some say “vintage”, I say “old”) dishes… she has some real gems. All placed on top of an old chenille bedspread.

My sister is doing a vintage cowboy theme in her nursery, so we had to have a few subtle cowboy things… it all went together.

That quilt was made by my dad’s, dad’s… mom… so my great grandmother.

I’m so glad we had coffee (sense sarcasm)… it looked cute… but I think 2 people had some. It was a little warm for coffee. Winking smile

Why don’t we still use these baby bottles anymore?

We used several quilts that my mom and I had… The red, white and blue one was one made by my great grandma Hazel…
