It has been a while since I have posted some pieces….
Well the everyday has been busy! This is the most… wonderful… and for us… crazy time of year! Tis the season.
Several weeks ago we went with some homeschooling friends for a private tour of our FAVORITE restaurant!
Josh was even able to join us.
The girls took an Art class in November. They both left inspired and I think we went through a box of markers and crayons the week after. Their hands were busy and our “magnet wall” was full of masterpieces.
How is this for a mug shot? Micah came into the room and said… “I do my hairs, Mommy!” Just a little too much hair pomade, I think. Just a tad.
Just a little extra spikey… for a few days… that stuff is hard to get out!
Sometimes Mommy has to say “no”…. so disappointing….
Boy! These kids are awesome!
Bath time and baby smiles… part of the sweet everyday.
Books….
Thank you Trader Joes…
Part of my ridiculousness… why do I do things like this? I only get irritated that it doesn’t stay this way…silly.
This little lady loves the swing!
And is a pretty big fan of peas.
our poor dog… puts up with so much
Watching the tree cutters and eating hot dogs… serious entertainment!
The girls and I have attempted a few crafts lately…
Yarn ball ornaments…
Felt balls…
A few pictures from getting ready for Leah’s party at our house…
Sprucing up the garden with a little color and height.
Cleaning windows seems kind of pointless in our house. My mom has very clean windows in her house. Well, after we leave… hand prints, nose prints, tongue prints… all left behind. My poor mom and her clean windows and surfaces. My solution to the problem… clean windows only when absolutely necessary.
This is what my candied yams looked like post broiler on Thanksgiving. We salvaged it.
The nephew and all his cuteness. My sister always dresses him like such a little man.
Micah is still learning the art of being gentle. Here he is giving his cousin a “Hi!” (Kind of like a high five to the forehead.)
Anna has a thing for ice water with crushed ice and a spoon. Pretty much every night before bed she goes and gets herself a little cup. Here she is sharing with Leah.
This past weekend the girls and I got a chance for two “dates” you might say. On Friday we went to see our friend Camryn in the Nutcracker and we went out to dinner. It was a very fun evening. We got ourselves dressed up with necklaces and lipstick and had fun talking about Christmas and their different interests. My girls are so different and believe it or not, even with having them at home all the time with me… I still feel like moments like these are too few and far between. Oh how I love my little ladies.
The next morning I took the two older girls to do a little Christmas shopping for their siblings and we made a little stop at the nail salon to get their toes painted for the holidays. I don’t think I have taken them to do this before so they were pretty speechless. Especially miss Anna… she was thrilled.
Anna had a pretty short wish list for her birthday but the first thing on her list besides a “couch for dolls” (does that even exist?) was a guitar. Well, Grandpa and Grandma came through and got Anna her very own, junior sized guitar. She is convinced, already, that she knows how to play “Away in a Manger” and is ready at any moment to perform for anyone willing to listen.
Well those are all the pieces I have…. for now.
