The days following Christmas always seem pretty peaceful…. especially with new toys to entertain and nothing scheduled to do except sit and enjoy the chilly weather….
Meeting Josh for lunch is one of our favorite things to do! We jump at any chance we get to spend time with our favorite guy.
Leah was very helpful in taking down and storing the Christmas décor.
That look is either…. “I’m guilty….” or “I’m starting to get annoyed that you keep taking pictures….”
The Saturday after Christmas we took the kids to the Grove in Los Angeles to make good on a gift we gave Rebekah to get her doll’s ears pierced (yes, they actually do that.) Also the girls had Christmas (and birthday, for Anna) money burning holes in their pockets so we went to make a few select purchases….
We got there early and ate breakfast in the Farmer’s Market. Crepes…. yummm!
In the store…. it was a WET, RAINY and FREEZING day… kinda fun to get to bundle up. Leah looks comfy… don’t you think?
We had lunch at a little off beat café in LA. We are kinda suckers for YELP and food adventures….
I don’t think that I’ve mentioned… Leah started walking in December.
So her first pair of walking shoes were purchased…
I guess I didn’t get any pictures of New Year’s Eve… we spent it over at my parents and rang in the new year at 9:00. Thank goodness for Eastern Standard Time…. I can’t make it to midnight. In fact Josh and I bolted up out of a deep sleep at 12:00 when our neighbors decided to set off M80’s. (It seemed like they were right next to our bedroom window!) Happy New Year!
And New Year’s day…. games, family and food at my parents.

Ok… so now… on to 2013.
